Reading this article taught me a lot about how Arizona's new gun laws have affected residents and nonresidents in Arizona who want to carry. For example, I didn't realize that a person could go ahead and get a permit if he wanted to. This is is my favorite part: "Owning and bearing arms, with or without a hall pass, is no substitute for the vigilance required to participate in government."

Embody was stopped twice for open carrying. Once because he had a pistol on his shoulder and once because he had a revolver in his hand. Both times, he was released because he wasn't doing anything illegal. His concealed carry weapons permit was revoked, however. Here's a cool quote from the article: ""This guy has an affinity for open carry," Belle Meade police chief Tim Eads tells the Tennessean. "Just because you have a right to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.""
